Still very young but opening one anyway since this is a Villages wine I always love, a quick decant helps the nose to become more expressive with a dark fruit profile, the palate has great volume and texture, more expressive than the nose, medium to full bodied but nothing over the top either, the fruit is gorgeous and the wine is very approachable, nice delicious finish not too square for a young MSD, good right now, the potential is great. 90-91 — 3 years ago
Almost effervescent at front. Clean finish. — 5 months ago
Served alongside the 2019 Montelena. The 2020 Leflaive “Bourgogne” is obviously youthful but already showing its quality. It plays very well with the Montelena but pulls from the greatness of Puligny-Montrachet and brings a certain “je ne sais quoi” that cannot be denied. There’s more complexity and acid than the Montelena but fruit is clearly more on the citrus side of the spectrum and there’s a lovely mineral aspect as well. Only 10% new oak used and it shows…as it’s almost imperceptible relative to the Montelena. Not exactly what I would call a value Bourgogne Blanc…but when you consider that it’s not your typical Bourgogne Blanc due to the source material, I can understand the tariff. It drinks pretty special IMO. Drink now and over the next 10 years. — a year ago
Superb nose and scents of tobacco, herbs, dark fruit, spices and a floral character as well, the nose keeps on giving. The palate is not as impressive, nice acidity and typical powerful Barolo, lacks a bit of finish and elegance to it, too young for sure but doubtful it will improve that much.
90-91 — 4 years ago
Popped and poured; consumed over the course of an hour. No formal notes. A pretty wine that, to my taste, comes across fairly primary at this stage so I would hold until 2025 and try again. Well-made and has a touch of “je ne sais quoi” that gives it some distinction. — a year ago
Fruit-driven Cab from 20-25 years old vines in Isla de Maipo, just south of Santiago. Fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts, and aged for 12 months in oak barrels. Quite jammy nose with aromas of dark fruit (blackberry, cassis, blackberry gummies), red fruit (strawberry, strawberry jam) and hints of bell pepper and tobacco. Medium-bodied, ripe fruit flavors. Very fresh on the palate. Long, spicy finish — 2 years ago
Didn’t know what to expect from this one, but a great dinner wine. — 3 years ago
Everything you'd hope a bourbon would be. Strong notes of dark wood and honey, with a certain vital Je ne sais quoi that my untrained palette has trouble detecting. — 4 years ago

Dark cherry aroma, medium body, drinks like a Cab Sauvignon with a Merlot after taste. Paired beautifully with a spicy, slow braised pork stew. — 4 months ago
