Jean et Jean-Louis Trapet Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2020

Delectable Wine
9.7

The 2020 Chambertin Grand Cru is clean and precise on the nose, with raspberry and wild strawberry, crushed stone and discreet sous-bois scents. This, again, unfolds wonderfully in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a gentle but insistent grip. It is more saline than Launay Horiot's Chambertin, with fine structure and a hint of spice towards the finish that has just a touch of piquancy. Bravo - this is a Chambertin from the top drawer. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting. (Neal Martin, Vinous, October 2024)

Gevrey-Chambertin Pinot Noir 2021

This wine is the 2021 Domaine Louis Boillot & Fils Gevrey-Chambertin. It offers a shimmering medium ruby hue with nuanced red-fruit and earthy characteristics that effortlessly leap from the glass, especially after some time decanting. There’s also a delicate crème brûlée and toasty note that adds dimension.

Petit Chablis Chardonnay 2022

What a lovely wine. White flowers abound with spicy citrus flavors and a long finish that remains for a good five minutes. Unless I’m missing it (quite possible) those needing their minerality fix will be a tad disappointed. — 4 months ago

The best open white wine I ever drank, was on a terrace in Chablis 😉

Côte de Nuits-Villages Pinot Noir 2017

Fragrant nose with small red fruits and some spices. Juicy palate with crunchy berries and a small mineral backbone. Boillot’s entry level wine does not disappoint. — a year ago
