Such a pleasant surprise! Great bargain here and very cool - Alsacian Pinot! My first. Earthy notes waft out of the glass along with some cherries. Great structure, medium tannins, beautiful mouthfeel. Love the earthy flavors of mushroom, baking spices, and mineral mixed with cherry and plum. Great finish. — a year ago
When the wife orders you to pull a nice chardonnay from the cellar, you obey immediately.
This was an exciting bottle with citrus on the nose. Orange peel, pear, roasted bread and citrus on the palate. Good concentration and acidity. Seamless integration. Still more to come with additional cellar time. — 15 days ago
Just the right amount of tannin, as it opened up it started to show fresh red fruits — a month ago
Very nice but a little too unstructured — I preferred the Morey St Denis — a month ago
Maybe I’m not objective because of such fond memories of smelling this in the tank and tasting its two predecessors en barrique with Hubert on our honeymoon. But I can’t imagine this being any better than it was last night on our 25th anniversary. — 3 months ago

Always lovely and fun to try with a bit more age. Still lots of flowers and cherry but with a notably darker edge now. Dangerously drinkable while still being very interesting. Good pairing with a Christmas Eve ham from hometown bbq. — 2 days ago
