Such a pleasant surprise! Great bargain here and very cool - Alsacian Pinot! My first. Earthy notes waft out of the glass along with some cherries. Great structure, medium tannins, beautiful mouthfeel. Love the earthy flavors of mushroom, baking spices, and mineral mixed with cherry and plum. Great finish. — 10 months ago
Dried apricot, dried mango, pineapple candy, marmalade, thyme, honeysuckle, banana cream, *marigold*, leafy dried desiccated apricot, orange zest and peel, minerality! Saffron, botrytis notes, Indian spices. Off dry ~25 g/L RS. — 4 months ago
Maybe I’m not objective because of such fond memories of smelling this in the tank and tasting its two predecessors en barrique with Hubert on our honeymoon. But I can’t imagine this being any better than it was last night on our 25th anniversary. — 2 months ago
Consumed over several hours and this was all about “a point in time”. The rotation of red and green flavors reminded me of a roulette wheel. Olives and red fruits played a game of hide and seek, occasionally teaming up with tobacco and darker fruits. Intense yet so seductive. Would have liked a longer finish. A wine that I can see being very polarizing due to the assertiveness of its many components.. — 3 months ago

Shifting to a more feminine and elegant profile, after almost 20 years this still has a lot to offer. Complex fruity and umami notes of cherry, currants, pepper, spice, cured meat, tossed earth and truffle.
Great effort, year after year. — 16 hours ago
