Always excellent. Fun to try a vineyard we haven’t had and a later vintage. Very classic. — 3 months ago
The closest thing to true Bordeaux style red blend from Napa. This wine really accentuates the vintage and the terroir, along with fruit and soil. The Dominus Estate manages the vineyard via dry farming, relying on nature for water, making a profound difference on great vintages such as 2016. Find a good vintage Dominus and you’re bound to have one of kind. Cheers. — 8 months ago
Wow. Some fruit but it has ripened into an elegant and refined Pinot. Notes of earth mixing with ripened red fruit. — a month ago
Drier than expected. Not a ton of tannin, but otherwise good — 7 months ago
2016 vintage opened December 2020. Leather and minerals on the nose. Not much happening on the front—no fruit to speak of, but there are some soft tannins that follow through to the back of the palate quite nicely though. The finish is quite unique, though.Without looking at the label I suspect this was aged in American oak, which gives it some leathery hi notes and some bite as you swallow. I wouldn’t give it the scores that the pros are giving it, a 9.3, only because this wine is kind of weak on the front of the palate. But it’s very drinkable, indeed! — 5 years ago
Pale yellow with pleasing aromas of citrus and tropical fruits, adding in spice and some biscuit notes. On the palate complex palate of flavors, fresh fruit, pineapple, lemon, grapefruit, peaches and Asian pears. Slight earthiness with a smooth and creamy well balanced finish ending with a gentle yeasty character. Very nice! Consistent quality! Will age well! — 2 months ago
Oldfield Vineyard Yakima Valley. Salmon pink with refracted orange tint. Strawberry in nose and mouth. Dryish, reasonable acidity, rounded red fruit and peach on finish. Some raspy skin astringency. Not highly complex but value priced. Tannins soften appreciably after an hour, soft mouthfeel makes it better. — 4 months ago
Medium ruby in color; blackberries, black cherries, and graphite on the nose; medium acidity; medium tannins; tastes like red plums, violets, and dried herbs with a long finish. This is my kind of wine. — a year ago

Tyler Florence recently relocated the Wayfare Tavern in SF so we decided to try it. Tried several of the reds they were offering, which were frankly very Meh so I went with this Merry Edwards , which is always reliable. Food was amazing as always. — a month ago
