Dry on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing limes, grapefruits, lemons, green apples, brioche, yeast, minerals and spices.

This 13 year old Champagne feels very young and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Complex and interesting.

Easy drinking and good by itself or with food.

11.5% alcohol by volume.

Bricco delle Viole Barolo Nebbiolo 2019

Popped in poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2019 Bricco delle Viole pours a garnet color with a transparent core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with lovely ripe notes of Morello cherry, raspberry, roses, tar, talcum powder, dried herbs and dry gravelly earth. On the palate, the wine is bone dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. Typically, I feel as though Vaira’s wines need significant time in the cellar however, this is one of the finer examples of a young Vajra that I have had in a long time. Drink now with patience through 2049. — 20 days ago

Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2012

Plenty of tannins left. 25bucks. Those were the days! 14%| Quite classic. Browne tinge. Needs at least 2-3 hours of air. Quite harsh and astringent. Roses, earthy and dusty, very dry. Hint of truffles. - Not super exciting at first (15min) so wait. Will last another 10 years - but i do worry about the fruit component if you need space in your cellar - i would suggest drink up. I will. Some folks tend to hype these wines i don’t - after all this is their most basic version with a large production volume. Total volume is 500,000 bottles a year at this cooperative. My guess they to make a lot of this one. — 3 months ago

Cote des Roses Languedoc Grenache Blend 2024

Had the 2024 in August of 2025. What a really neat little wine. Light pink color. Some strawberry, peach and orange blossom on the nose. Delicate little wine. Some strawberry, honey and a light floral character on the tongue. Short finish but very tasty. Would drink this one again. — 9 days ago
