1976. Niebaum-Coppola Vineyard. It’s brilliant. I’ve had the a few years ago and it’s holding on a nice plateau for now. Everything is in harmony with cedar sweet tobacco and dried cherry-cola flavors. Drink ‘em if you’ve got ‘em. — 3 months ago
Purchased at the winery on my single visit there, had gone to pick up the Syrah, and was very taken with this tiny production Mondeuse. Rich, but not heavy, rustic in some ways, but amazing “mountain fruit” depth and great acidity which largely hides the structure and tannins, long, lingering finish, needs a fair amount of cellaring, though beautiful tonight!! — a month ago
HWT - $150 I really loved it without food and Eric loved it with food. It was a truly exceptional wine. — 3 months ago
Red fruit, mild, cherry , stone. Nice for the price — 19 days ago
Still quite dark purple-red color, nose is quite closed, some mineral, iodine and black pepper aromas, red and black fruits which taste quite primary and youthful, great acid balance, structure shows in the long, lingering finish, I’d guess 10-15 more years of further aging on this to maturity, but awfully great tonight!! — a month ago
Leave this open at least one hour before consuming. Rich Cabernet Sauvignon with leather and smooth tannins in the finish. Nice example of California Cabernet Sauvignon but not extraordinary. — 4 months ago
Mount V just makes lovely Cab Savs! Still had tannin structure for 3-5 additional years of cellaring. — 5 months ago

This 18 showed some nice evolution. Starting to round out and show its elegance.
I have generally been impressed with the quality of wines from Hall. Especially, given the number of bottling’s they produce.
