Truncated notes. Not as ripe as expected. “13 2/3%” alcohol (who puts fractions on a label?). Reminded me of a tannic Pomerol from a not too ripe vintage. Rustic mouthfeel.

UPDATE: on night two, after overnighting under a vacuum closure, this has really improved. A lot. Intense plummy fruit on the nose. Stony, smoky gravel scents, and on the palate, the rich Merlot fruit coming out, more velvety textured. Upping from a 8.8 to. 9.2. Obviously, the way this improved, it will likely benefit from air. I am quite chagrined my initial impression was so off. — 2 days ago

2024 Vintage. Vibrant ruby red in color. Pleasant aromas of fruit and spice on the nose with subtle earthy tones. Cherry, vanilla, and spice on the palate, very soft tannins with a smooth finish. Phenomenal Willamette Pinot for the price. Would enjoy again. — 2 months ago

This 5 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Mount Veeder in Napa Valley is drinking beautifully already, although needs a few years to reach its peak.

Showing nice complexity with a soft mouthfeel. Rich and extracted, yet elegant. Fruit forward and engaging.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 15 years. Showing good potential to become a 95 point wine.

Good by itself as a sipping wine, and will also pair nicely with a nice piece of steak.

A blend of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Merlot, 1% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot.

I’m not normally a Chardonnay drinker but given this was from Pride Mountain and purchased there during a visit I was looking forward to it. It’s a nice Chardonnay that is very drinkable. Notes of grapefruit and canned pears when warm. Some slight apricot taste. Smell was consistent through but taste trended “sweeter” as we drank. Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Pretty nose of black fruits with light wood, flowers and chocolate notes.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with black currants, black plums, cooked cherries, cedar, licorice, chocolates, herbs, coffee, light earth, light vegetables, spices and peppercorn.

Long finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a delicious Merlot from Spring Mountain District. Elegant and nicely balanced. Fruit forward and complex. Spicy and soft, tangy and interesting.

Still young, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly, but already drinking beautifully. Will continue to age nicely in the next 15 years.

I've had a few older vintages of this Merlot and it is very consistent.

A great sipping wine that will also pair nicely with food.

A blend of 67% Merlot and 33% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged in (50% new) French Oak barrels for 24 months. A small production of less than 9,000 bottles.

Nice length on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Mount Veeder in Napa Valley. Elegant and nicely balanced, with an Italian feel. Complex and entertaining.

Still young, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 15 years.

Good by itself as a sipping wine or with a big piece of steak.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were aged for 19 months in (65% new) French Oak barrels.
