Deep, dark and contemplative. Fresh and lively nose, but the fruit is quite restrained and serious. Black cherry, prune, vanilla bean and black pepper with dusty, astringent tannins. Long dry finish of hay, dried herbs and some of that bitterness. Drinking it on the cooler side. Feels right to sip this while listening to Sketches of Spain. — 2 months ago
Among the best that Ribero del Duero offers. Benefits from a generous decant for a wonderful waft in the glass — 2 months ago
Red fruit, young, fair amount minerality at least initially, interesting wine for the price. The tannins mellowed nicely after it had some time to breath. — a month ago

Great, but the 2018 better - a little more horsepower. — a month ago

A top vintage for Unico, and one to live forever, 04 is in an amazing spot, decadently layered and hedonistic with an impeccable balance of both power and elegance. The palate is expansive, silky and rich with melting tannins and massive length. A stellar Unico. — 3 days ago
