Enjoyed during Superbowl with homemade pizza. Less green bell pepper than I personally prefer, but nice wine. — 5 months ago
Super champagne yeasty note at L’Etoile — a month ago
Well balanced acidity and sweetness. Melon and peach on the nose, with notes of peach, melon, minerality, and slight wet wool. — 4 months ago

Great village wine. Not sure if there’s any declassified fruit in here too? Pondered the cost a few years ago when it seemed like the second coming of a little known producer that was garnering atmospheric prices at auction …. Insider knowledge of Beaux Monts, Malconsorts or even Echezeaux in the bottle labeled as Village wine? It was getting $600+ at auction then and this week I noticed it being offered at $250 and going unsold 😳🤔
Hype at first now realized?

I know that this should be aged some time but had my brother in law visiting and he is a SB fan. Pulled this out of the cellar for him. Typical SB profile, balanced and a nice round creamy moutfeel. But other than that: I didn't taste the difference between this and a 15€ supermarket sauvignon blanc. Supposedly this is the top of Sancerre.... Maybe complexity will develop in a couple of years time but for now underwhelmed 🫣 — a month ago
