Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Deep dark and concentrated color. Perfect balance of rich fruit and oak on the nose. High tannin. Leather, cacao. Medium length and very oaky finish. This is a very robust wine. Enjoying with a buttery ribeye. — 6 days ago

Isosceles Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2019

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple of hours. The 2019 “Isosceles” pours a deep ruby color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of dark brambles, crème de cassis, tobacco, Fresno chilis, Mexican chocolate, dry earth and baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. This is a big, powerful wine but it’s fairly balanced. I would drink now though it probably wouldn’t struggle to see past 2029. — 16 days ago

excellent Cab with a great balance of fruit and grip. Great value at ~$30 they would easily compete with $50+ wines — 9 hours ago

Love the Turley wines. Finesse, elegance and complexity. One problem: not available in Europe.

Twelve Clones Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir 2021

A big, hot cherry bomb. Bright fruit forward with cherry, ripe strawberry, cranberry, cinnamon, ginger, and ripe plum. Medium body, high alcohol, high acid, a long finish, and light tannins with a hint of American oak. — 4 days ago

9.4

94 that leans into 95.

42% Grenache, 24% Mourvedre, 21% Syrah, 8% Coundise & 3% Roussanne. 15.8% ABV but drinks like 14.5-14.9. Pairing is Allen Brother’s Cowgirls.

This has nice evolution & integration.

It is ripe, juicy, lush grapey, very Grenache style with a bit of funk-gym locker. Blackberries, black raspberries, stewed plum, spiced dark cherries, cherries, deep, dark spices, black pepper, tary notes, steeped fruit tea, dry leaves, cigar with ash, dry, crushed rocks, dry river stone, limestone minerals, clove, dark spice, cinnamon stick, mid berry cola, liquid violets, lavender with dark & red flowers, excellent waterfall acidity. Balanced, excellent tension, richness, elegance and refined polish.
