Pre-season Patriots football and Pineau d’Aunis: a winning combination. This wine has lots of character. Nose is intense, peppery, lots of crunchy dark berries and pulverized rock dust. Vigorous in the mouth, with a very youthful feel and some chalky, fine-grained tannin puckering the palate. Really nice now and could soften up nicely over the next couple of years. — 4 years ago

Pop and pour yesterday. Better than I remember my last btl being. On the nose: musty mulberry, vanilla, spice, rose. On the palate: good acidity, lovely density and weight...black pepper, mulberry and blackberry. Soft, finely grained tannin on the finish. Yum. — 4 years ago

Youthful, high acid with dark cherry, berry fruit — a month ago
2014 vintage. 9.3 rating on a red Bourgogne...okay? Attractively hot and fleshy initially before the concentrated power onslaught. Medium-heavy body (!?!?) with some slightly above-average terroir/pedigree as I understand it. Might barely qualify (with prejudice) as someone's "Reserve" offering somewhere. Should you come across in a resto or retail setting, take the plunge because you're unlikely to ever see it again. Haven't said that about a Bourgogne in a few days...Rating:9.3/93/A — 10 months ago

Excellent. When I think of a true burgundy this is what I have in mind. — 5 days ago
