Les Vignes d'Emilien Colin Pineau d'Aunis

Medium light ruby , wide pink rim . Vivid blackberry , dark cherry , ground black pepper , violets . On the palate quite spicy dark fruits , blackberry , cherry and cassis , with black pepper , good refreshing acidity and quite grippy, chalky tannins . Decent length with real interest and personality . Good to drink now but with the structure, will last quite well over the next 5 or so years. — a month ago

Les Bons Batons Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2018

Densely knit cherry fruit with some spice and burgundy funk. The vintage shows its weight without being over the top.. Small mineral driven finish. Lovely. — 2 months ago

Medium ruby color with garnet on the edge. Smells of fresh cherries. Medium acidity with grippy tannins. Tart cherry flavor. Good experience. — 4 months ago

Vieilles Vignes Côte de Nuits- Villages Pinot Noir 2020

2020 vintage. Last tasted 11.16.22 (9.2). California pinot-styled with medium body, rich, ripe fruit and cranberry acidity vs cedar-laden tannins. This visit not as smooth with the acidity but still worthy. Wouldn't mind hitting once a year for the next 3-4 years as it should develop into a fairly. harmonious effort at an affordable price. 11.25.23. — 7 months ago

Clos St. Marc Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2013

PnP. Initial taste of bright red cherries and a hint of herbs, fantastic. Then after 15 min the acid and tannin just dominated the fruit. That transformation tarnished what I thought was to be one enjoyable Pinot. Maybe time will help just not sure how the acid and tannin grew with air. Hope someone can explain this for me. — 4 months ago
