Medium acid still lingering, tobacco, hints of graphite , cedar, and classic cassis. Beautifully balanced and structured 13% — 7 months ago

Château Phélan Ségur

Saint-Estèphe Red Bordeaux Blend 2016

Big & self-assured, and yet elegant. Still very young. Very CS dominated nose, black fruit, some cassis, a touch of nice wood & dark chocolate rounded & very elegant.
Proper St Estephe on palate - good tannic frame, juicy acidity, pure black fruit. Great depth here. And aging potential. Needs a bit of time, but it’s already shining.

Château Lafon-Rochet

Saint-Estèphe Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2001

2001 Lafon-Rochet
Saint Estephe

Inky black with cassis, black currant and blackberry. Black pepper and lavender with a whiff of smoke and graphite. Plum and vine charcoal give a softness to the tannin which is amazingly strong. Graphite shimmers through dark cocoa, cedar and pepper. Lovely and lively.

St. Estèphe Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2015

Region: Saint-Estephe Grape Variety: Bordeaux Blend Red ABV: 13.5% . "Ruby red with violet reflections in colour, on the nose, aromas of plum and cassis with notes of spices. On the palate, dry, oaky, smokey, spicy, fruity, hint of tobacco, touch of leather and toast, delivers red fruits character, balanced, lengthy, soft, silky, layered, mature, earthy, persisted, rich, firm. It has a long finish." — a month ago

Pagodes de Cos is a second wine of Château Cos d’Estournel. 3 hour Decant. Web article, Second Growth Bordeaux according to the Bordeaux classification of 1855. Located in St.-Estephe, the château includes 160 acres of vineyards planted to 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. The average age of the vines is 35 years. Founded in the 18th century by Louis Gaspard d’Estournel, the château’s wines were so admired in the 19th century that they were in demand all over the world.
