Pelissero Pasquale

Giorgio Pelissero

Nubiola Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2019

Never had anything from Pelissero before but it was barbaresco from a year I like and under $200 on the wine list at Torrisi (which was fabulous). Wine itself disappointed a bit. Quite a bit darker fruited and in color than barbaresco I’m used to. Less acid too. Still nice and recognizable as the grape but left a bit to be desired. — 13 days ago

A favorite. That particular style of trebbiano that Emidio Pepe also does. — a year ago

Very nice, dense, rich in flavour barbaresco. Getting better after good breath. Balanced tanins, just a little bit to acidity side. — 7 months ago

Piani Barbera d'Alba 2022

This is very elegant & harmonious.
Dark sour cherry with some crushed stone and a pinch of orange peel & herbs. Fresh. Juicy.
On the palate this is very smooth, juicy, with great flow and beautiful balance. The 14.5% alc perfectly integrated.
Nice depth & length, too.

Le Nature Langhe Favorita 2022

It also has a bit of chardonnay and riesling in various percentages depending on the vintage.
Favorita vines are pretty old, they were planted in 1980. It is a clone of vermentino apparently that has established itself in Piemonte.
The wine is dry, personality, freshness and it is easy drinking.
The price is a bonus.
Fairly long too
