1975 was one of the worst Burgundy vintages. This La Tache, light, aromatically brilliant, balanced with a weak mid palate and a non existent finish was still a good lunch wine. Slow oxed for 30 minutes prior to drinking — 14 hours ago
Earthy on the nose (like a pinot should) strawberries and leather. Full body finish. Paired with hangar steak and veal chop. — 12 hours ago
Decant and pour (lots of chunky/fine sediment). A striking purplish magenta color. On the nose: Alluring perfumed nose of dark cherry, worn leather, black olives, smoked meat, herbaceous, touch of brett(bandaids). Taste: velvety, creamy, savory, structured wine with dark plum/blackberry preserve, minerals, earth, chocolate espresso, leather, and a long lingering spicy tobacco leaf finish. YUM! — 11 days ago
