Phenomenal from nose to finish. Very smooth and complex. 2020 DOCG — 4 months ago
Threw a few of these in the cellar just to see what would happen. Finally coming into its own in Hour 2. Dark blue black fruits, nice acidity, balanced. Really nice. Great for Sunday pasta and red sauce. — 4 years ago
Bottle shop recommended this, knowing I like clean acidic crisp mineral he waits. Very appealing. Nice bite. Nothing round about it. Can taste the alcohol. 13%. — 5 years ago

100 Sangiovese. Balsamic, balanced tannins, violet. Was perfect with pasta.
We both loved this one — 2 months ago
Discovery of a month. Dense, fruity, fullbodied. Ripe red berries, cherries, notes of honey and strawberries. Really nice supertuscany blend. A little bit too sweet, a little lack of tanins, but overall excellent price value balance.

Appropriately named as we served this estate’s rosso at our wedding and I suppose it’s therefore “in the blood” at this point. Dark, earthy, complex and alluring, violets, raspberry, subtle woodsmoke and dried underbrush. Smooth but firm structurally. I buy it whenever I can and it will hold and improve — 3 years ago
Not the best wine you’ll ever have but for the money it is exceptional — 5 years ago
Tonight we are enjoying some wine from the island of Sicily. A 2012 Puritani Etna Rosso from Azienda Valenti Vini 🍷 The #nerellomascalese grapes from this bottle were planted in 2004. As a literature lover I must share th story behind the bottle's name: 'The father-son team of Giovanni and Alessandro Valenti have embarked upon
the journey to produce the very best
wines from their homeland of Mount Etna
in Sicily. Being avid lovers of literature and
music, the names of their wines reflect
this passion. Enrico IV, Henry IV (Enrico
IV) is an Italian play by Luigi Pirandello;
Puritani – I puritani (The Puritans) is an
opera in three acts by Vincenzo Bellini;
Norma is an opera in two acts by
Vincenzo Bellini. Poesia is Poetry in Italian.' Cheers to Italy! 🇮🇹 — 6 years ago
It's fruity and has depth. I don't really taste the tannins in the prosciutto wrap. — 3 months ago
Rosso tannin and zingy pink peppercorn. Held up to @Chris Buggy pizza. 🍕 — 3 years ago
Poderi garona tritone rosso
Exactly the kind of wine people erroneously pass up because it is inexpensive and assumedly not great. I’m having sausage and peppers tonight. And I passed over 2 cases of Barolo to drink this with my s&p .
Nose is pretty and slight.
Palate is delicious fruit. Great acidity. Grapy. So awesome.
Bought from fass selections.

About 40% Nebbiolo; the rest PN, Syrah, and Merlot. I generally avoid non Italian grapes in Italian wines because I’m an Italian wine snob. There are hundreds of indigenous Italian grapes. Does everyone really want just the Pinots and Merlots? But this was quite good. A birthday gift from my kids. Fruity, some tannins - I can taste the Nebbiolo. Quite fruity. — 14 days ago
