Trader Joe’s. Long gone! For 15$ quite good! This is the 2019 - one of the best vintages in Piedmont. So - in this case even lousy cheapo wineries made great wine. Tastes like 40$. Roses, super astringent, violets. Hint Eucalyptus. A little rough: Bought a case most gone should have bought 2 - will age the last 3 bottles just out of curiosity - could go another 5-10 years. Very nice. First bottle pulled of a half case we got when visiting the property 2.5 years ago. Def could take a good bit more time. The tannins seemed to flesh out with air. But still so refined with great balanced of deep earth, minerally fruit, excellent acid. Looking forward to seeing how this evolves. — a month ago

Medium ruby color. Aromas of mushrooms, forest floor, black cherries and wildflowers. Leaning toward dried blackberry fruit on the palate with additional notes of black cherry, balsamic vinegar, black pepper and dried herbs. Wonderful salty/earthy note on the long and lingering finish. So complex and lively. Medium bodied and well layered. Chalky tannins. Big 15% alcohol content but who cares?
