This was a surprise! The body and color were surprisingly light, with a light maroon/burgundy, and a Nose of sharpie and old velvet couch opening to notes of wet leaves, and then evolving into chamoy and a fresh bouquet of flowers. this is a wild and excitingly different wine. Like, wow, at first the palate was straight sweet jam, then it became vegetal, with pronounced freshness of prickly pear, with well integrated tannins and a slightly orange citrus finish. — 3 years ago

Quite possibly the best sauv blanc I've ever had! Nutty, funky and honeyed nose. Palate has a prickly texture, yellow apple, wet rocks, pear, lychee, pineapple, vanilla, salinity, high acid. Is it chenin? Is it a Jura chard? This flat out pushes the boundaries of what sauvignon blanc can do. — 4 years ago

Red cherry and dried cranberry, rose petal, cherry lozenge, cedar, cherrywood, cypress, fresh tobacco, light black pepper. Firm palate.
Grainy tannins but velvet coated. Red currants, black cherry extract, black olive, resinous black currant, tart red tea. Green tobacco. Fresh oregano, bay leaf, cracked pepper. Prickly, pointed and tart, but keeps the interest piqued.

Such precision here with perfectly ripe citrus and orchard fruit, tasteful/minimal oak treatment that has nothing to prove, prickly acid, and length. from my original Costco stash, probably the best bottle yet, $84, I think was the price. Mousse evident when poured, in the glass there are few bubbles, but the prickly palate sensation is evident. Very much orange peel and biscuits, a little toast, almonds on the finish, it’s a really lovely bottle. — 3 years ago
