Red cherry and dried cranberry, rose petal, cherry lozenge, cedar, cherrywood, cypress, fresh tobacco, light black pepper. Firm palate.
Grainy tannins but velvet coated. Red currants, black cherry extract, black olive, resinous black currant, tart red tea. Green tobacco. Fresh oregano, bay leaf, cracked pepper. Prickly, pointed and tart, but keeps the interest piqued.

Sulphur. Pale straw. Little fruit except tart lime/lemon zest. Steely minerality. Petrol/kerosine. Bond dry. Explosive / extremely prickly salty acidity. Very salty and saline and energetic on the palate. Tannic and powerful. — a year ago
from my original Costco stash, probably the best bottle yet, $84, I think was the price. Mousse evident when poured, in the glass there are few bubbles, but the prickly palate sensation is evident. Very much orange peel and biscuits, a little toast, almonds on the finish, it’s a really lovely bottle. — 3 years ago
Quite possibly the best sauv blanc I've ever had! Nutty, funky and honeyed nose. Palate has a prickly texture, yellow apple, wet rocks, pear, lychee, pineapple, vanilla, salinity, high acid. Is it chenin? Is it a Jura chard? This flat out pushes the boundaries of what sauvignon blanc can do. — 3 years ago
This is what I want in a $35 village white burg on a Wednesday night. Such precision here with perfectly ripe citrus and orchard fruit, tasteful/minimal oak treatment that has nothing to prove, prickly acid, and length. There’s balance, clarity, and delicacy that’s rare at this price point. — 3 years ago
