Intense savoury cherry. See previous Delectable note. Vacqueyras - 2nd only to Gigondas for Côtes du Rhône villages. This wine was 70% Grenache (over 60 years old), 15% Syrah (40 years old) and 15% Mourvèdre (40 years old). Tends to be slightly more rustic than Gigondas although this was very satisfying and good QPR. Alcohol a bit high at 14.5%. — 2 months ago
Very pleasant, earth and some Syrah spice. Went well with lamb chops — 8 days ago
So killer. Needed something bombastic yet focused tonight. This did the trick. Gorgeous nose of butter, minerals, sweet wood, and wafting wet earth. Classic. Palate is rich with great amplitude and killer acids and just outrageous length. The length pushes this to 9.5. The terrific purity here allied with the length is pretty thrilling. It just grips your back palate and does not leave. — a month ago
Opens with an odd vegetal note but smooths out into a satisfying, well structured Gigondas. Mom up for a visit — 2 months ago
Way too young but it will develop into something quite remarkable! Bit darker than your average red Burgundy, wild strawberries, cherry, black raspberries, black tea, liquorice and spices. Highly concentrated and delicious. — 20 days ago
Was so surprised at this one! Got it for a friend who loves Cab but is going to the Loire Valley and I wanted to show her a good expression of the reds from that region. Was delicious - easy to drink on its own or with food. Already bought a second bottle! $22. — 3 months ago

There are two kinds of st Joseph. This is one of the good ones. Long finish. Complex. Quite serious. — 5 days ago
