This GSM from a boutique producer in the western Barossa near Seppeltsfield, is a blend of 45% Grenache, 35% Shiraz and 20% Mourvèdre. The Grenache is most prominent with its lush raspberry aroma and flavours, the Shiraz providing structure and the Mataro with its plummy tarry notes. This wine was a Trophy winner at the Toowoomba Wine Show a few years ago. — 5 years ago

Unbelievable!!! A Cabernet that only can express it selves like this in Barossa Valley. Basically a Shiraz “wanna be”. So expressive, so rich, but fresh and focused grounded by a solid vibrant, mineral backbone. There are warm, Mediterranean spices filtering through this fresh dark fruit. Opened this in early January and having the occasional night cap finished it 2 nights ago. Notes of dried fruit, spice, nuts and burnt flavours. This port fills every corner of your mouth - unctuous. Seppeltsfield have this amazing tradition of releasing a 100 year old Port every year. The 1919 will be released later this year. — 6 years ago
