Seven Springs Vineyard Chardonnay 2022

Quite nice, but definitely best on day 3. At first quite reserved and doesn’t give much up. On day 2 and 3 more generous, and the delicious rounded acid quality really comes into focus. — 12 days ago

Alder Springs Vineyard Chardonnay 2013

Light gold color, a little nutty showing some age but with good acidity and minerality, it was showing very well but with ample life remaining. — a month ago

Seven Springs Vineyard Pinot Noir 2022

I really like what Evening Land does in general and their Pinots in particular. Lovely nose with some good cherry. Balanced mouthfeel with good dark red fruit and some nice herby notes. Acid is medium but works well to hold it together and the persistence is good. Really quite enjoyable. — 2 months ago

Seven Acre Shiraz 2003

This is one helluva wine…
Nothing to add to my TN from two years ago.
Or… maybe an extra point.
It’s that good!!

Lytton Springs Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel Blend 2006

Cork giving out but why not after 19 years! Wine is escaping to fresh beauty with a little wet dog age that I like.
Holding her space in 2025
80% Zin, 16% Petite Syrah, 4% Carignane
14.7% is reigning it in on this varietal and well done! Doesn’t feel fire breathing at all 👏

Seven Falls Cellars

Wahluke Slope Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Looks like a nice Columbia Valley Cab. Dark color. Heady and dense nose. Maybe a herbal and earthy streak in with the plum sauce on the nose. Flavors are chewy and vicious. Horehound meets berry cobbler and a bit of flint. Plenty bittersweet like a good Cab should be. Has a big style, but holds a bit of elegance as well. Will be great with the grilled steak I’m going to have with it later. A nice find at the grocery outlet 20% off wine sale. — 11 days ago

Columbia Valley Dry Rosé Blend 2023

Good fruit, strawberry, touch of lemon, peach and cream (?), good acid but not at all tart, honeydew, citric and malic notes on finish. Dry but not bone dry. Complex but missing savory and mineral notes from previous vintages, oh well, drinkable enough why wish for the moon? — a month ago
