Woah, reminds me why I love this region. Not the most rounded Vacqueyras I’ve had, but definitely got the smokey, rich, spicy, full body notes I love, paired with an incredibly silky mouthfeel.

Intense fruits of blackberry, raspberry, plums. Moderate to high acidity works well here with the intense jams. — 5 years ago

I’ve had both La Muse and La Joie so I was happy to get to try Le Désir. I think I like this cab franc dominated blend the best. The nose is floral with green fresh notes. On the palate it’s rich, full bodied with a luxurious velvety texture. Dark fruit, bell pepper, spices, licorice with powdery tannins that starts to melt into the wine completely. Same notes - this has become my muse, my heart of darkness for the evening, such a lovely wine with so many dark things wrapped into it, tabaco, dark berry, black licorice, roasted stout grains, wow. Nice re-entry wine! Such great aging. — 5 years ago
