Bootleg Wine Works

Prequel Sonoma County Syrah Petite Sirah 2018

Primarily a Blend of Syrah (78%)and Petite Syrah (21%) with token amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel blended in. Dark ruby color with purple highlights. Nice aromas of blueberry, lavender and smoked meat. Bramble berry fruit leads the palate along with touches of black pepper, dark chocolate and smoky oak. Luxurious and velvety finish. Full bodied, generous, bold and luscious. Part of Capital Grille’s 2024 Generous Pour Program. — 2 months ago

Cantina dei Produttori Carema

Riserva Carema Nebbiolo 2016

Almost opaque, light brickish scarlet. Smokey, dried savory cherry notes…. Gorgeous balance between acid and fruit. Hard to keep from crushing the entire glass. The finish goes on for 90 seconds and makes me smile. Marcella Hazan’s Bolognese is near perfection and works so well with the mountain-grown Nebbiolo. — 10 months ago

Clos de la Grand'Cour Fleurie Gamay

Selfridges feiyu - smoky, bubble gum / banana, typical Beaujolais wine, low sulphate, natural fermatation, works well chilled ( only works with low tanning wine) — 2 months ago

Bootleg Wine Works

Napa Valley Red Blend 2017

Why can’t all California “red blends” be like this? Full bodied and jammy but highly drinkable, even on its own. Lots going on here: black fruit, leather, vanilla, cloves. The finish is a little short but that’s my only complaint. Outstanding value. — 6 months ago

Girolamo Russo

'a Rina Etna Rosso Nerello Mascalese - Nerello Cappuccio 2020

Bright, barely discernible as a red… touch of smoke, tart cherry, chewy green stem-thing but it works. Rustic, lifted, leaving just a hint of heat as it caresses on the way out. Not jammy, not lush, but great food accompaniment. — 2 years ago

Black Rock Wine Works

Red Hills Lake County Zinfandel 2014

Deep purple in color; black plum, graphite, and cacao on the nose; medium acidity; medium plus tannins; tastes like dark chocolate, black cherries, and cassis with a really long finish. Nellie, Jason, and I love this wine! Thy liked it too! — 3 months ago

Belle Glos

Clark & Telephone Vineyard Pinot Noir 2020

"Beautiful deep ruby in colour, the intense nose releases blackberry, raspberry, ripe plum, cranberry and hints of chocolate, vanilla and a slight earthy note. The palate delivers a complex mix of ripe red and black fruit, exotic spice but also a farm yard earthiness that works very well with the oak infused vanilla notes." — 2 years ago

Le Coste

Bianco Procanico Blend

An orange that works! Mediterranean Sea in a glass. Give me a spritz and slap my bottom. This thing rocks. But what else do you expect from Le coste x — 2 years ago
