My continuing quest to taste as many 22 Burgundies as possible…
Nose is not all that expressive. Lemon, lime, green apple, tropical melons, honey notes, cream, sea spray, pleasant chalkiness, limestone, volcanics, spring flowers framed in yellow lilies.
Palate is; round, high viscosity, paraffin, lemon syrup, lime, nice green apple with skin, tropical melons, hints of kiwi, honey notes, cream, sea spray, nicely toned white spices/ some palate heat, pleasant chalkiness, limestone, volcanics, hints of mushroom, light caramel notes, soft wood tones, white spring flowers framed in yellow lilies, very good acidity and a nicely balanced, well tensioned, polished elegant finish that lasts a full minute and lands on gentle spice & earthiness.

Powerful and pretty nose. Cherry, tang, gnarly inky wild stuff. Very pure with a bloody and saline mid palate. Gorgeous and intense and long. — 2 days ago

Leave open at least one hour before consuming. Not amazing but just nice. Perhaps not worth $45 but this is a straightforward no-frills Burgundy that hits the right notes. Nice balance of fruit and acidity. The fruit is marked but not overwhelming. The acidity is a little strong but not marring. A good buy from a value appellation. — 4 months ago
Andrew Cullimore
Medium ruby , quite wide medium ruby garnet rim . This is quite aromatic , with earthy sous bois , violets , black pepper , garrigue . On the palate quite elegant and dark fruited , bright acidity and quite strict tannins . Good cassis, blackberry , menthol touches , sous bois , grafite finish . This is ready and drinking well but will probably continue at this level for another 5-10 years or so. At Drouant Restaurant, Paris . — 10 days ago
