It was very acidity and a bit bland at first. Maybe it needed more time, but decanted for 3ish hours and it tasted a lot like mushrooms, balsamic, black currant and a touch of underbrush with forest floor- with a touch of oak and spice. It was tannic but there was a lack of something in the mid palate and fruit. As I drank the last glass after 5 hours of decanting, it started to open up beautifully. All the aforementioned characteristics but with a strong mid palate filled with dark fruit. Delicious. Not as good as other vintages but this is worth drinking but give it some time to decante. Maybe 4+ hours. — 6 days ago
Still young (obviously) and first of all fruity (obviously), but there is also a chocolate, leather and it's oaky. Maybe needs time (obviously 😂), but it's also very good for those who don’t want to wait. — 15 days ago
bit shy, needed some time in the decanter - translucent ruby colored, lots of violets and spice, sour cherry and bing cherry, rhubarb, tar, sweet soil, really complex on nose, med weight w/firm tannic grip, flavors from nose on mid palate, nice finish. paired with smoked ribs and it really worked - Father's day treat. i have another of these, believe this is in the pocket right now. *more Barbaresco than Brunello — a month ago
I have bought every bottle of this I've seen in the last 9 years or so. Purely nostalgic reasons. It's not the best Super Tuscan. It's not expensive. But, it just reminds me of every meal I had during my time in Tuscany. Somehow the price jumped from $20 to $30. I blame Trump. Every year has been pretty consistent, but 2013 was world-class. This 2020 is great, and if it weren't hailing out right now, I'd go grab some steaks from the market. Cheers, friends!

A lovely Brunello. Classic in style, nose and character. Lovely. Drinking well but could go for another decade ( or two!). — 9 days ago
