Iodine, earth, dirt, tannic. A big wine will easily hold up to steak or game. Orange peel, touch dark ripe cherries, spices (touch cinnamon), black tea leaves. Full of character and terroir driven. From South Africa. Decomposed Granite and volcanic rock. 13.5%. — a month ago
Interesting but didn’t really go with the Trader Vic’s food — a month ago
Perfect buttery but balanced Chardonnay. Just everything there should be in a top quality Chardonnay. — 5 months ago
Dark violet/purple color. Aromas of blueberry, black cherry/currants, tobacco and cocoa. Same fruits on the palate along with dark plums, black licorice, coffee and spicy oak. Long lasting note of dark chocolate on the extended earthy finish. Medium-plus bodied with reasonably smooth tannins for such a young wine. Opulent, bold and rich. It will interesting to see how this wine evolves over the next few years. Presented by Nick Goldschmidt, winemaker. — 7 months ago
One of the nicest examples of Merlot we’ve ever had. — 2 days ago
v19. Very good! Soft, dusty, candied black cherry nose. Luscious, deep, rich, black cherry fruit. Long, bright, slightly tart, chocolate cherry finish. Enjoyable!! — 3 months ago
Bulgarian wine amarone style. Dark purple (though dark out) dark fruit with hint of plum prune and cinnamon. Same on mouth with tannins that need some time. Long. Very good. May be my first Bulgarian wine. Definitely first with grape drying. — 6 months ago
