Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2006 Juliet pours a deep garnet/purple with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of ripe and desiccated dark fruits: cassis, blackberries, plums, tobacco, leather, mixed dead flowers, old wood, organic earth and fine warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin (integrated) and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ with an attractive, plush texture. This is in a really good spot and fully mature. Drink now through 2031. — 4 months ago
Still a lot of legs on this one in terms of aging potential. Fantastic wine. So balanced. So full. — 9 months ago

Austere was the first word that came to mind and then I saw it in @Tom Casagrande’s review as well (though of the previous vintage). Overall I still enjoyed it, but you have to be in the mood for a crisp, somewhat bitter, reclusive wine. — 4 months ago

2013 vintage. Decanted and tasted after one hour. Super durty nose and approach. Light-medium body with a erupting spice festival afoot. Maybe another 3-4 years in the current appeal before the morph. 10.03.25. — 5 days ago
