Succés Vinícola

La Trompa Trepat

Such a fun, drinkable wine. Nice color. Great way to start a meal. Subtle, non-confrontational. A bit of fruit. Opens up after a few minutes in the bottle. — 6 hours ago

Imperial Reserva Rioja Tempranillo Blend 2018

Dense and dark, almost black colors. Looks viscous when I swirl. Lots of vanilla on the nose, but some cedar and dark fruit underneath. Has some spice, like clove and dill, but also perfume, like rose. Very intense and rich juice, heavy acidity and powerful structure with medium+ tannins. Manly wine. — 6 months ago

Gran Reserva Rioja Tempranillo Blend 2016

Blend of Tempranillo (85%), Graciano (10%) and Mazuelo (5%) that has hit its peak. Medium ruby color. Complex aromas of ripe red and black fruit, leather and a bevy of spices. Black cherry and tobacco flavors with nice notes of vanilla and black pepper. Just a hint of balsamic vinegar on the long and lingering finish. Velvety tannins. Medium-plus body and excellent balance. Outstanding quality for the price. — 2 months ago

Imperial Gran Reserva Rioja Tempranillo Blend 2017

Medium ruby with medium garnet , ruby rim . Quite high toned spicy , sweet red fruit, red plum and cherry , vanilla , with a herbal , earthy touch. On the palate this is quite strict and tannic , lots of structure with decent acidity and red plum , darker cherry , spiced currants , hedgerow fruits, blackberry . Slightly saline , stony finish . Good length and well balanced alcohol . Very young , needs time to integrate. Better in 5-8 years and will last well for a further 10 or so years . — 25 days ago

Real de Asúa Crianza Tempranillo Blend

100% Tempranillo crafted by Asúa Winery located in the town of Haro, La Rioja, Spain, an area known for its unique clay soils rich in calcium and iron. This particular winery focuses on small batch production runs to ensure each bottle receives the care and attention in the vineyards and the cellar.
The wine is aged for 14 months in French oak barrels, it has an amazing purple in hue. On the nose has some decent reductive aromas featuring plums and blackberry with a noticeable oaky layer. On the mouth the supple tannins and juicy on the fruit-forward complements the elongated finish.
A wine style that never disappoints and give you a tremendous run for the money!
