La Stoppa

Triple A Trebbiolo Vino Rosso 2021

Had La Macchiona as part of a wine pairing at Septime, so I had to grab a bottle from this producer when I saw it. Not sure what I expected but it was much richer, fuller, and sweeter than I thought. The sweetness slowly wore off giving way to ripe cherries and rhubarb as it opened. Stood up well to the Mediterranean food of all things we had with it and actually quite a nice compliment to it in many ways. Lacked some depth but primary characteristics were strong and carried this wine beyond my expectations. — 4 months ago

Cantine Dei

Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Sangiovese 2019

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Fruity nose and medium bodied with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing raspberries, cherries, light oak, spices, coffee, dark chocolates, earth, tobacco leaf and peppercorn.

Medium finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a very tasty Sangiovese from Montepulciano in Tuscany. Elegant and fruit forward.

A good quality wine that will continue to age nicely in the next 5 years.

Easy drinking and good by itself or with food.

A blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Canaiolo. Aged in Slavonian oak barrels for 18 months.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$30.

Vino de la Tierra de Castilla Tempranillo

Had the 2019 in June of 2024. Really tasty wine. Dark fruits- black cherry jam with some black berry and red currants. Oak presence adds vanilla with a hint of licorice. Big wine- 14.5 ABV but was really tasty. Enjoyed and would buy again. — 3 months ago

Il Vino Dal Tralcetto Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2018

Medium ruby in color; blackberries, black cherries, and graphite on the nose; medium acidity; medium tannins; tastes like red plums, violets, and dried herbs with a long finish. This is my kind of wine. — 4 months ago
