German Savagnjn. Let’s go! Nose has that wooly Savagnin thing but with crystalline clarity. Unreal wafting minerals. Some nougat and hints of caramel. So much aroma. Palate is dense and rich but also ephemeral and pointed. Structured to a T and this has a delicate tannic structure. Awesome purity, freshness and incredible depth and drinkability. As this airs the acidity comes into focus and it has wonderful grip and focus. — 3 years ago
Such a great wine. Perfumed nose, spice, hay, skoche of dried honey, some potting soil, cardamom, white pepper, all so pretty and harmonious. Palate is super harmonious and very pure. Sappy and salty finish. Palate is all mineral and spice and maybe a hint of spiced apple on the finish. Lovely wine. Very juicy and spicey! — 4 years ago
Sick nose. So complex. Hint of sweet wood, such a complex perfume and florals. Lovely pit fruits that are just vivid and detailed. So deep, endless nuance. This is a knockout. Palate is like elite 1er cru white burgundy. Awesome sweet wood that is so well integrated that only an MW could pull this off. The complexity is off the charts. Brown sugar, pitted fruits and an almost Cochr like luxuriousness. This is brilliant! Brilliant freshness and this is straight as an arrow and laser like in its precision and finesse. Perfect balance. Blown away. The depth of this perfume is amazing. Almost a Tolkien like amalgam of earthen scents. So special. Palate is so round yet so pure. Salty now on the finish. Exceptional wine. Ziereisen Jaspis level. — 5 years ago

Im offenausschank und vorher noch auf delectable gecheckt. Bei den noten dachte ich erst dass es nicht ganz der gleiche wein von diesem produzenten sein kann. Nach dem zweiten schluck allerdings schon! Wow! Einfach wow! Feinfruchtig, weisse blüten, birnen, etwas minze, im gaumen weich, rund, südfrüchtig mit leichter mineralität. Hut ab! — 8 months ago
Have not had in two years and wow has this opened. Stunning nose of lemon oil, calcified sugar, wet earth, some stone fruits and herbals. Such a great nose showing some early aged character. Palate is at once opulent and at once incisive. That combo of stone fruit opulence and acid is heavenly. An amalgam of lemmon flesh, stone fruits like peach and apricot and wonderful stoney minerality. Just wonderful. Now after 6 hours the nose is crazy and confectionary. Gorgeous lemon and lime smarties. Uncanny. 9.6 nose. Palate so pure and so balanced. Exquisite. — 2 years ago
We tasted a lot of wine at Merry Edwards. The new winemaker, Heidi von der Mehden, even popped in to say hello during the tasting. I will wait to review the rest of what I ordered as I open them, but this was my wine of the tasting for me. I have enjoyed every vintage of Olivet Lane that I have tried thus far, and this was no exception. This wine was full bodied, ripe fruit, and push mouthfeel. I tend to like Olivet Lane after its had a few years of age — really all of her wines are better with a little age IMO. — 4 years ago

Typisch Bienenwachs in der Nase, würzig, präzise, bisschen rauchig. Elegante Säurestruktur. Guter Trinkfluss. — 3 months ago
Just crazy. So aromatic, so complex and so fine. Stemmy but unreal fruit and freshness. After 11 hours this is so fine, so elegant and so refined. Nose smells like Xmas with cinnamon, clove, spice, cardamon, and elegant sour cherry. Palate is so deep, so juicy and has this wonderful stemmy sweetness. Great tannins, that are silky and sauve. Velvety texture and the finish has amazing length. Brilliant. — a year ago

Tiefrot mit Blautönen, weich und samtig auf der Zunge, dennoch vollmundig und langanhaltend am Gaumen, Noten von dunkelreifen Pflaumen und Erdbeeren, mit einer Prise Pfeffer. — 3 years ago
More sweet than I like Rieslings but very well balanced. — 5 years ago
