Am Schwarzen Herrgott Großes Gewächs Riesling 2011

Outstanding! More minerality and longer in the palate then the Kühling-Gillot. Curious to drink it young once! — 19 days ago

Kinheimer Rosenberg Spätlese Riesling 2017

At first thought this would be higher. It as it warmed and opened actually lost some of the acid that was keeping it balanced and became a bit too sweet. Still a very nice food pairing, and very classically mosel. Only 8.5%. — a month ago

Cold on a hot day at the winery. Doesn’t get much better. Can even make a spritz with it. (Don’t judge) — 6 months ago

Brut Champagne Blend 2008

I am not sure Dom is my jam. The overt amount of fruit and yeasty bread is a little too intense for me. — 2 months ago

I love this wine but I’ll admit it’s niche. Glorious confectionary nose. Clearly too young, as this wine really sings starting at 10, but whatever, I got too much wine to drink them all at the perfect time. Sweet wood, stone fruits and intense minerality. Some pollen as well on the nose. Such a complex nose. But in 5 years watch out! Palate is so elegant and rich but fresh from the minerals and not the acid which is merely solid. Really coats the tongue. So good. The finish is stone fruits, sweet wood and that rock licking feeling on your tongue. Just a killer Grau because it’s got that Laible magic. — 3 months ago

Viña Tondonia Reserva Rioja Tempranillo Blend 2011

I am biased for Rioja but this is a very good demonstration of why. Great balance ripe reserved fruit in harmony with some slight puckering length. Better in 10 years. Totally fine now. — 8 months ago
