Vintage 1976 | Kinheimer Rosenberg. Alfred and Rolf Merkelbach were greatly appreciated by winefriend Eric. And vice versa, for sure. Because the mythical brothers considered their Rieslings as their ‘children’ that are hard to say goodbye to. But Eric could buy this 49 y old Riesling with deep mahony colour, a ‘Halleluja’ apricot smell and awesome balance. Heavenly nectar. A treat. — 4 months ago

Not as nervy as the 20 and shows the vintage in that it’s more baroque. It’s still crystalline and pure with freshness, electricity, finesse and depth. Just lacks the edge of the 20. — 2 years ago
