Vintage 2013 - Austerity is characteristic for Cheverny. This blend from sauvignon and a bit chardonnay lives to this expectation. The bottle years give a shy eaux de vie expression in smell. The taste has not gained richness, as is the fact with Cour Cheverny from the curious grape Romorantin. This Cheverny is plain and honest but has no complexity. I partnered it with a salmon leek pie and that didn't work, it gave the wine a nasty metallic taste.
