Lovely mushroom emerges within a lovely and gracefully aged malbec showing appropriate raisination. Tulip, violet, hibiscus and rosemary-beef; bllackberry and cocoa, cracked pepper. Dense coloration just brimming on brick. Concentrated plum and cinnamon collide with tobacco, cedar and savory as well as slightly sour cherry and roobios.

Reserve #mendoza #malbec with plenty of personality. Bramble fruit, cassis, faint tobacco and vanilla hints on nose. Taut acidity up front on palate, medium plus body, fruit more shy than the nose would suggest, peppery spice, then leather tobacco progress to grippy tannins on the finish. Those tannins and acidity suggest this wine could easily evolve 5 years or more in the cellar. Brilliant glass paired with Wagyu steak sandwich with chimichurri sauce. — a year ago
