First time trying out the new backyard digs but still drinking the NV BSBR. Go to Rosé bubbles. Always get that 50-50 bar or creamsicle flavor with perfect, powdery chalkiness that the region of Champagne does best. Also, appreciate the 12% ABV. Yummy. 😋 — 4 years ago
1984 vintage. Cork difficult to extract, ended up in several pieces. Beautiful deep color, little to no bricking even at this age. Seductive at one hour+ of air with black cherry, raspberry, some vanilla, green pepper, graphite. 12% ABV. From the FIL’s collection. — 7 years ago

Decanted prior to service; enjoyed over the course of several hours. This bottle of the 1982 pours a deep garnet color with a near opaque core and some rim variation; medium viscosity with light staining of the tears and signs of sediment. On the nose, the wine is developing with a mix of tart, ripe and dried, mostly black fruits: cassis, blackberries, tobacco, dried flowers, grilled Poblano, leather, dry gravelly earth, and fine warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin (integrated) and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. One of the earliest vintages of Opus One, this is showing really well at the moment. Drink now through 2042. — a year ago

Drank on 12/6/19 in Seoul with Eagle Master Friend. Nice & strong aroma on the nose. Very balance & Long finish. — 7 years ago
What a tremendous bottle ! Very dark rubi color, with no signs of aging. Nose of black currant, some secondary aromas and a hint of flowers. Very polished tannins, in a medium length mouth and the traditional rich and round Pauillac mouthfeel. Its incredibly good to drink right now, but will for sure hold at the very least another 10 years or so. Very highly recommended. — 8 years ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Referred to as the “Baby Grange,” blend of 53/47 Cab Sauv & Shiraz, aged for 12 months in American oak, partly in previous-vintage Grange casks. Dark Ruby with aromas of fresh black fruits, complex with sweet spice. On the palate flavors of juicy black cherry and blackberry flavors with notes of cacao, oak and toasty spices, from cooler vintage. Well balanced with acidity, full ripe tannins, long ending with smoky spice, fruit well integrated with oak, drink over next 10 years+, will only get better. Nice! — 9 months ago
