Typical light Chianti. Fruity, quite a bit of acidity. Not bad! — 5 years ago
Its # 5. A mix of 3 different Bourbons, a 13-year mahogany bourbon, un-apologetically peppery with shavings of dark chocolate. Two, an 11-year silky, wheated bourbon rich with vanilla and honey. And three, an 8-year find, finished in Caribbean rum barrels to impart orange, brown sugar and warm island spice. Every sip, an uncharted, sensory adventure. Blood Oath Pact 5 adds additional flavors with the Carribean Rum Cask Finish." — 7 years ago

K&L still has some at $99.00This second wine is delightful but would benefit from more cellar age. A bit floral on the nose, the palette of dark fruit and fine tannins make for an interesting adventure for the consumer. — 3 years ago
Earthy aromas and a little natural funk, the more powerful aromas do not match the more subtle flavors of earth and black fruits, with mild acidity and surprising tannins. Alsatian Adventure private tasting. — 4 years ago

Had another bottle. Stéphane Ogier is one of Côte Rôtie’s most well-respected stars & looks for concentration in the vineyards and freshness in the cellars. "Le Temps est Venu, ‘the time has come’ for an adventure farther south, with old-vine Grenache and limestone slopes. A blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah that comes from the Plan de Dieu and Visan AOCs. Red fruit aromas and pepper spice notes. Sweet raspberry and cherry flavor adding herbs to the mix. Medium length ending with earthy notes. Nice value! — 8 years ago
Vacations that involve both cycling and wine are the absolute best. Already thinking of where to go in 2023.
Last night my neighbors shared this gem that they brought back from a recent Bordeaux wine and bike holiday. (Note to self to spend more time with the fun neighbors 😁).
The 2014 Château Destieux was super approachable after a short decant. Very ripe concentrated fruit, but not in a bad way. Complex with soft tannins. 14.5% ABV. Really a lovely bottle.
Rule #64 Remember to bring back a bottle (or bottles) while traveling. The subsequent stories about the adventure will pair perfectly with that wine. — 4 years ago
Yes, an aged Loire Romaratin. 12 years aged & intriguing: Dainty and fino like on back end, moderate acid & more floral than fruit. For 20$ a worthwhile adventure… — 4 years ago
So yummy! The first day we opened it, it was super funky - sour cherries and sausage?? It was also so silky and bubbly that first day. But after 2 days, it lots that weird meaty/farmy taste and became just a beautiful, rich, bright wine and didn’t lose its bubble :) ripe strawberries, cherries, rounded tannins. What an adventure! — 6 years ago
Drinking this is like coming back to an old girlfriend. There still a lot of the reasons there why you fell in love with her in the first place. Drinking it and exploring the taste you can get with fruit and cheese is always an adventure. Honey and caramelized peach flavors with not a cloying finish in sight. — 7 years ago
Sparkling apricot adventure! — 8 years ago
Vanilla. Light oak. Full body. Heavy blackberry jam notes. Short finish. Perfect to celebrate the final evening of a two week long adventure around the world. — 9 years ago

Great Zin. Better than most. And seemed even better letting it sit a bit. — 3 months ago
