Tecce is one of my favorite Italian producers. The 2022 Satyricon doesn’t disappoint. Opens up after 3-4 hours. Dried flowers, cherries and charcoal on the nose. Lovely aromatics. Tart cranberries with blackberries. Sharp minerality, mouth-puckering tannins, astringent, dry, dusty and savory long finish. Very long. Young. 14.5% abv, but it doesn’t feel overly full or heavy. I remember the 2020 being darker and more fruit-forward, but I could be wrong. — 2 months ago
Pale pink color with orange highlights. Aromas and flavors of unripe peach, wild strawberries, raspberries, red flowers, rhubarb, blood orange, honey and red currants. Pleasant earthy/mineral component on the long finish. Fresh acidity and round mouthfeel. Best when chilled. — 6 months ago
Bday Vanda cucina. 2022 with m & s Linda Denise Great with clams — 24 days ago
Dark ruby/purple color with a slight garnet rim. Aromas of ripe black berry/currant fruit, ash, smoke and leather. Sour red and black cherry fruit on the palate with additional notes of figs, black olives, woody herbs and black pepper spice. Nice hint of charred oak on the medium-plus finish. Well balanced and powerful. Better as it opened up so give this wine a decant. Solid QPR. — 3 months ago
2021 vintage.
100 % Falanghina from single vineyard in Irpinia, Campania.
Grown in Calcareous clay soil between 300 and 440 meters elevation.
70 % fermented in stainless steel and 30 % partial fermentation in small oak barrels.
Bright, straw golden green colour.
White flowers, herbs, ripe apples and pineapple. It has a great textural richness on the finish.
It spends 8 months resting on its lees.
Quintodecimo also produces Greco di Tufo and Fiano di Avellino……also equally impressive. — 6 months ago
This was sailing… meaty nose of rich burnt ends coupled with plum jam. Palate was viscous and mineral driven. S little too much acidity with a slightly citrus finish. Nice juxtaposition with the Siro, but this was always destined for second place tonight. — a month ago
You can definitely get drunk with this and not notice so be careful. Very easy to drink.

Sipping Fine Wine
100% Fiano, aged 6 months in stainless on its lees, lemon yellow color with aromas of tropical and stone fruits with nutty notes. On the palate flavors of melon, apple and pear with sweet citrus notes. Medium+ length, balanced with lively acidity, ending with fruit and flinty mineral character. Organic! — a month ago
