I’ve been on a QPR kick lately with this $11 Costco #valledeuco #malbec. Expected bramble fruit, leather notes on the nose but the fresh acidity, balance and restraint on the palate are much appreciated. — 5 years ago

On majestic princess in Caribbean. Nice cherry — 5 months ago
Clear, medium ruby to purple in color; on the nose, it's clean with medium intensity primary and secondary aromas of blackberries, blueberries, and graphite; on the palate, it's dry with high acidity, medium tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, and medium intensity primary and secondary flavors of red plum, sweet tabacco, and clay pots with a medium finish. This wine is simple, but balanced and complex. Overall, I rate this wine as good. — 6 months ago

2017 vintage. FLB fodder. Decanted and tasted after 15 mins, 45 mins and 1.25 hours. Medium body. Fairly muddy color. A parlor trick of rose petals and tar up front with a battle to the death, both mid and end palates, between chalk and dark chocolate. Chalk won. Not what I would call refined but made up for that with plenty of rusticity/old school/authenticity vibes. Apparently, I liked it more than anyone else here but a bonus .2 for the retro-stylings. Sorrynotsorry. 6.26.26. — a day ago
