At home w Joyce, Jeff, Yida and Bert. Glou glou light orange wine. Aromatic and lively. Fun wine. Yida loved it. — 2 years ago
Classic Central Coast Pinot notes -- cherries, green herbs, and flowers -- done in a silky smooth, balanced, incredibly lush style. I could drink wine like this every day. And would, if I could afford it! — 3 years ago
Dark ruby in color with a purplish hue.
Very fruity on nose with red and black fruits, wood, earth, tobacco and chocolates.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with cooked cherries, blueberries, plums, tobacco leaf, light oak, milk chocolates and spices.
Spicy finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a nice and easy drinking Barbera from Piedmont. Fruit forward and tangy.
Good right out of the bottle, and good by itself or with food. The high alcohol is not noticeable at this point.
100% Barbera grapes from 20 year old vines were grown at 1,000 feet of elevation. Aged for 12 months in used French oak barrels.
15% alcohol by volume.

The nose on the ‘21 Areio e Vento e Amor hits you from 5 ft away, full of ripe fruit but also chocolate, mushroom, and brush. It’s a translucent purple with a touch of Evangelho dusty-ness in the glass. Smooth and balanced with mild tannins at first, it opened up in the glass and alongside food to some intense berry jam and pepper flavors. — a year ago
Bright crisp with citrus and peach tones with some minerality — 2 years ago

100% Malbec grown at an altitude of 1600 meters in volcanic soil. This is not your average run of the mill South American Malbec. This Chilean wine is richly blueish red in color that streaks the glass with its viscous 14.5 ABV, medium plus body.
The nose is floral, herbal, and spicy. On the palate the pepper leads, accompanied by fresh red fruit, wood and nuts. The tannins are smooth and the finish is long.
This wine is stellar and it is not done improving, as the oak notes will develop into tertiary flavors. I have more that I will save and comment on later. Vive Chile!!!

Subtle sweetness on a dry white was unexpected of a southern Italian white - good thing I didn’t have to try this blind, I’d have guessed something Alsatian. That said, it was great. — 2 days ago
