A lot of red and black fruit, and a smooth mild structure. Very nice. — 4 months ago
Earthy, natty, bright acidity and tannins, tart cherry, white pepper. Opens up quickly. Very pleasant. — 9 days ago
A mid cherry red in colour. Aromatics of red fruits, menthol and touches of tar and roses. Light to medium bodied on the palate - surprising for a Barolo with medium plus intensity. Different and interesting in a good vintage from an excellent producer. Next in a year. — 2 months ago

Fig? Plum? Sea salt. Has the density and richness of a dessert wine, but it isn’t. Strange and good. — 3 years ago
Perfectly mature and so nice. So much spice, mahogany furniture, 19th Century first editions, and complexity in the perfume. Still a fair amount of relaxed, spiced cherry fruit on the palate, with interesting leather notes. Tannins resolved, decent acids. It’s 15% listed alcohol, but it’s not poking out. — 3 months ago
Extremely enjoyable, great substitute when you don’t want to pay 4x for the Barolo. Plenty of depth and intrigue here. Pleasure. — 5 months ago

No formal notes . This showed really well from the off . Nice ruby garnet colour with an aromatic nose of red fruits , porcini , rose notes . On the palate really elegant and wonderfully poised with lots of red fruits , porcini and saline , tar stained finish . Polished tannins and good freshness , really long finish. Showing well now though no rush, will probably continue at this high level for a further decade . — 19 days ago
