Russell Bevan will be joining with Middleton partners on a joint project. No longer will we see this wine. Enjoy while you can. — 3 months ago
Superlative red that would stand up to any bold, flavorful protein. — 4 months ago
Poured into a decanter about an hour prior to service; enjoyed over the course of several hours. The 2017 “Two Blondes Vineyard” pours a deep garnet/purple with an opaque core; medium viscosity with significant staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with cassis, black cherry, cocoa, flowers, herbs, soil, Band Aid, and fine warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. A lighter, more elegant expression of this wine than I have been used to in the past. Drink now through 2032. — 3 months ago

2019 vintage. Intense af. Fruit and tannins galore and them tannins ain’t leaving anytime soon. If you can survive the palate assault, it’s pretty balanced now…just needs a quarter century to chill the bleep out. You got a 25-spot to spare? I don’t. So decant 5-8 hours in advance of consumption or open a day (or two) beforehand and put the cork back in. Might just avoid a trip to the ER. 3.20.26. — 2 months ago

5/2026. Very nice Washington Cab. Good fruit, nice on the palate and lingers. Paired well with the various seafood appetizers at Mr. Friendly’s.
