I did not have high hopes for this one especially after paying $7.50. However, this is a well-structured wine! Very dark and really good. I wished I had bought more. — 8 months ago
Garagiste selection. $13.76. Keeper at this price. 60% Merlot. Smooth tannins. — 4 years ago
Really delicious wine. Deep flavor and incredibly smooth. Paired great with a burger, but it would probably paragraph with just about anything. — 3 months ago
2020 Daniel Bouland Bellevue Cailloux Morgon - Gamay from Beaujolais. This is a medium to full bodied wine. Bouland wines are described as defiantly deep, dark, country-style reds with plenty of grip and overflowing with personality. These are wines that are built for the long hall, unlike so many of the region’s wines. I describe this wine as brilliant and delicious. This wine is drinking nicely even without bottle age.
Once again, Beaujolais because they can be deliciously beautiful. Casualness in a bottle with a touch of class. Also can’t beat the QPR on some of these, especially this one. — 2 years ago
Depression cherry color. Subtly smells of fruits rouges. Kisses apple and cassis.
Currently accompanied by a fire roasted tomato stew. — 8 months ago
Love this Margaux! Dark purple with dark cherries, blackberries and tobacco coming forward. Tannins and acidity are well balanced in this mature wine — 9 months ago
2015 vintage. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. If you are looking for blockbusters this might not be your thing. I used to think of Fronsac as very rustic wines that often lacked charm, but these days many fine wines can be found here. This one is all about elegance and gentle extraction. Ripe cassis and flowers in the nose. Gentle and effortless in the mouth, elegant and fresh with good spicy minty length. Lovely. Abv. 13,5 %. — 4 years ago
"Odedi"
Dark ruby in color with a short reddish rim.
Fruity nose and medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with mild complexity.
Showing red and black fruits with light wood, spices, coffee, dark chocolates, earth, tobacco leaf, herbs and peppercorn.
This 8 year old is drinking nicely now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.
Nicely balanced with nice complexity. Smooth and entertaining.
I had this vintage 5 years ago and it is drinking better now.
