This Castillion Chateau was acquired by the late Denis Durantou of L'Eglise Clinet roughly 15 years ago. Just as promised it delivers excellent value. Damp earth, currants, plums, black truffle and some green notes. Very solid. Would buy again. 2019 is the last vintage Monsieur Darantou harvested. — 8 months ago
You should’ve waited. Delicious. — 3 months ago
Crisp citrus with hints of pepper and saffron. — 3 years ago
Dark fruit on the pallet - pretty smooth. Enjoyed with steak and potato. — 4 months ago
Perfect bottle that was probably at its peak. Needed an hour of decanting to unleash the violets and the red fruit in the background. Good and enjoyable but not great. — 6 months ago
This did more than hold its own in a 1966 tasting that included Haut Brion and l’Eglise Clinet. Beautiful wine, very elegant. — 6 years ago

Completely ready now. Toasted oak, brownspices, plummy fruit, grilled capsicum, black pudding, masculine yet elegant.
