Chapelle St Arnoux

Chapelle d'Ausone

St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend 2024

Nose is deep, charming and complex. In the mouth in enters with strength and bitterness which turns into herbal freshness towards the end.

Domaine Robert Arnoux / Arnoux-Lachaux

Les Proces Nuits St. Georges Pinot Noir 2014

I usually am not such a great fan of MSG. I find the wines too harsh, too masculine. This is a great MSG, lighter, feminine, full of sumptuous red fruit, precise and delineated closer to a Vosne than a MSG with great balance. Enjoyable (a bit too much) but another 10 years in it. Above all still affordable which can’t be said of the other wines of this emerging (for me he has emerged) super star. Got enough of it to carry me for 10 years but afraid it is too good to forego. — 4 years ago

Château Trapaud

Cuvée La Chapelle St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend 2021

Carrefour. EUR15. Very smooth drinking, decent bodied GC wine from St Emillion. Enjoyed it a lot albeit at that price point maybe could have done a bit more? — 9 months ago

Château Calon-Ségur

Chapelle de Calon Saint - Estèphe Red Bordeaux Blend 1995

Calon’s third, but still very classic left bank! Bramble berries, cedar, a hint of graphite. Right in the sweet spot! — 2 months ago

Château Meyney

La Chapelle de Meyney St. Estèphe Red Bordeaux Blend 2016

Chapelle de Meyney ("the Chapel of Meyney"), second wine of Chateau Meyney, one of the oldest estates in the Medoc. Deep Ruby red color, purple hues, with aromas of black fruits, herb, tobacco and earthy notes. On the palate flavors of plums and black currants with cacao and tobacco spice, on a well balanced frame. Fine tight tannins, long finish ending with fruit, earthy spice and cedar character. Starting to drink well now. — 8 months ago
