Opened yesterday. Quite bretty and reductive upon opening, but the funkiness has blown away now. The nose shows cola, dark cherry, green pepper bell, and black pepper. That cola note is something I usually get with natural wines from loire and beaujolais. The palate is yummy with a great acid drive, some superb cherry notes all along, some black pepper, some pomegranate touches, a bit of a drying layer in the rear that is quite peppery and a long fruity, joyfull finish that goes on for a while. It's not your typical extracted chinon. It's a modern, low intervention style that is delicious but needs time to settle. The anti-brett community out there might have a hard time with it 😅 but give it some time to breathe, and you will be rewarded.
Edit: it's even better 4 hours after. Delicious juice with some complex layers on top of it — 22 days ago
Bright red fruit and baked strawberries on the nose. Berry cobbler, vanilla extract and coffee bean. Delicious, and improves further into the bottle. — a month ago
Phenomenal wine at this age. Loved it. Substantial body and finishing crisply. — 14 days ago
Deep color and texture. Excellent — 3 days ago
Earthy, blue fruit, smoked pork, olive brine, more alcohol on the nose than I recall, nice cigar smoke, dark ruby almost purple yet bright still, terroir driven with a sense of place. I feel like royalty with every sip. — a month ago

Cheers to Champagne Charlie!
This is the Charles Heidsieck Brut Rosé Réserve. It’s made with a blend of Pinot Noir (40%), Chardonnay (35%), Meunier (25%). It’s a non-vintage wine that cellared in Charles Heidsieck’s famous chalk cellars (crayeres) for 4+ years.
It’s a beautiful salmon hue in appearance and offers complex aromas and flavors including strawberry shortcake, lemon curd, fresh raspberry, baked peach, pie crust, brioche, cream, nougat, toasted almond croissant, candied nuts, and dried pink rose petals. On the palate is a fine and creamy mousse and vibrant acidity.
It’s positively delicious, complex, and balanced. A non-vintage that drinks like a vintage champagne. Yum! — 17 days ago
