Chateau Le Pré Du Moine

Lucien Le Moine

Bourgogne Rouge Pinot Noir 2021

A bit pricey, yet what is not in Burgundy. Austere at first, then open to strawberry candy, a hint of farm, elegant, fine acid, wet leaves, young. — 11 days ago

Clos de Bèze Chambertin Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2016

Glorious bottle. Intense nose, full bodied. Still very much fruit forward with damp forest ground as undertone. Will develop for many years to come. — 7 months ago

Les Perrières Meursault 1er Cru Chardonnay 2012

I rediscovered this Domaine in Beaune at Dilletente. Never drink these wines in the first 10 years Lolo said…they need time….He was right. What a wines when they are mature. Speechless. D’Auvenay style and even quality. — a month ago

Alan Weinberg

Underrated vigneron. Just a bit pricy.

Lucien Le Moine

Clos de la Roche Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2016

The wine is just incredible. It needs about one hour of decanting but is still very fruit forward after 8 years in bottle. High minerality, saline, cherries and strawberries. Great weight and needs another two years.

Morgeot Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Chardonnay 2014

Savory and big on the nose and first taste. This wine then transforms and shows fruit in the back end with a touch of red raspberry and is ultra smooth. Nothing hot. Nothing too acidic. Super elegant. Really enjoyed this wine with food and then on its own. — 9 months ago
