Perfectly ripe black and red fruit. Grippy tannins, but still gives a nice mouthfeel. Not a lot of complexity. Great wine that has a lot of life left. Really enjoyable but hard to see how RP gave it a 100. — 3 months ago
This CdP tribute (55% Mataro, 40% Shiraz, 5% Grenache) to Pope Clement V is simply lovely, rich, youthful darkfruits and a solid structure that suggests 5-7 years of cellaring is in order, medium-long, lingering finish, very fine GSM blend!!
As an aside, we were lucky enough to make it to singlefile Wines this afternoon and taste the full range being poured, the 2022 Family Reserve Chardonnay (the wine they’re known for) was outstanding, as was their 2022 Frankland River Cabernet Sauvignon, and pricing was VERY reasonable — only problem is that don’t export to the U.S. — Oh well. . . . — 10 months ago
This wine has a lovely golden tint. Aromas of apricot, apple, pear and a very light citrus note appear in the nose. The flavors are fairly remarkable, especially for a $7 wine. Tropical notes, peach, pear and lemon-lime come forward, along with a hint of sweet oak. The acidity is zippy enough to carry a salad, seafood dish or light pasta meal. The wine finishes long and full. It is definitely a bargain wine, one reminiscent of old-line Chardonnay. — 4 months ago

A tasty chateauneuf du pape inspo bursting with ripe berry flavors, some spice and a nice medium finish. Medium complexity liquid fruit roll up; very easy drinking. — 2 months ago
