Lighter Pinot round flavors very drinkable — 2 years ago
Very identifiable as Tasmanian Pinot - this one from the Coal River and the high performing Pooley Wines. Last tasting note here was way back 153 weeks ago. Red fruited - drinking this early in its drinking window. Light to medium weight - lovely Tassie purity. Fine tannins. — a year ago
This is going down VERY easily. For the pricetag I would expect nothing less. It has such wonderful flavour, is robust and honestly, not a wine I want to share... It's all mine, nom 🙂 — 2 years ago
Wow. Just wow. Quite delicious. 15 years young. Mr. Tannin and Mr. fruit still doing their jobs quite well. Carlisle really knows how to make an excellent Zin. no matter what the year. — 9 months ago
Santa Barbera Chardonnay is really becoming a favourite of mine. The Pinot from SB seems to get all the attention here in Sweden but the Chardonnay is outperforming the Pinot by a mile. Very bright and well balanced. Seashell, pear, honey, hezelnuts, jasmin, tiger balm. — a year ago
Blackberry bramble, baked black cherry and plum, hints of maraschino, mint and menthol, bell pepper and geranium, cedar, tobacco, and bakers vanilla with whiffs of aged leather jacket on the nose. Blackberry, cherry, juicy raspberry, vanilla extract and weak black tea on the palate with a medium heavy body but a medium short finish. Overall a great wine for pumpkin pie brunch on Christmas morning (no it’s not too early). Merry Christmas! — 3 years ago

A gorgeous savoury red fruited extravaganza. Herbal notes from whole bunches in the fermentation (50%). This certainly has become an instant hit as a top quality Pinot Noir from the Coal River Tasmania but owned by Shaw + Smith from the Adelaide Hills. Interesting to try 2 quality Pinots from the same vintage (2015) on successive nights. The Tolpuddle won over Yarra Yering in this bout, marginally. James Suckling’s comments, “They have totally nailed it” and 97 points. — 2 months ago
